Safe Haven Family Shelter is the premier shelter-to-housing program in middle Tennessee that accommodates families experiencing homelessness.
Our mission is to promote the general welfare of victims of domestic and sexual violence by providing shelter, goods, and services while helping them find safety in their lives and the self-sufficiency and healing needed to become independent. To this end, it is also our mission to enlighten the community in the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse and its prevention by providing comprehensive educational programs.
Clarksville Area Urban Ministries’ SafeHouse program provides inclusive and trauma-informed advocacy services to Survivors of domestic violence and their minor children. Services are available to anyone victimized by domestic violence including women, men, gender non-binary, LGBTQ+, children, Survivors with disabilities and Survivors from historically marginalized or underserved populations. SafeHouse staff are available 24 hours daily to assist anyone in need through our crisis hotline.
Mobile Crisis Services is a 24/7/365 response team for those who are experiencing a mental health emergency. Services include Mobile Crisis Services for children and youth. The mission of the Coalition is to end domestic and sexual violence in the lives of Tennesseans and to change societal attitudes and institutions that promote and condone violence, through public policy advocacy, education and activities that increase the capacity of programs and communities to address such violence.
24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, the National Domestic Violence Hotline provides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse. Contacts to The Hotline can expect highly-trained, expert advocates to offer free, confidential, and compassionate support, crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in over 200 languages.
VINE is the nation’s leading victim notification network. It allows survivors, victims of crime, and other concerned citizens to access timely and reliable information about offenders or criminal cases in U.S. jails and prisons.
It is the vision of YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee to focus on women and girls who desire to create a better quality of life for themselves and/or their families, to achieve self-sufficiency, and to increase their financial strength. The YWCA will also be a spokesperson for those women who have no voice. Further, we will raise the awareness and diminish the incidence of violence and racism.
The Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund was established as a fund of last resort to financially assist innocent victims of violent crime in Tennessee that results in personal injury. In the case of death, dependent relatives may be eligible for compensation. Victims and claimants who meet eligibility requirements may be reimbursed for medical expenses, loss of wages, and other unforeseen costs related to the crime.
